One of my lifelong dreams was to play cowbell, and Cathy brought this dream to fruition at Sierra Fiddle Camp. I really appreciated Cathy's patience, expertise in teaching complex rhythms, demonstration of percussion instruments, and most of all, her amazing sense of humor. If you ever get a chance to work with Cathy, you should leap in that direction. It has been an absolute blast and an amazing honor.

Cathy, It was awesome to meet you and the way you look at percussion by filling in the spaces in the music. It changed the way I perceive the music of life and made percussion the beating heart that is all around us. Much love to you.

I went to Sierra Fiddle Camp for my son Daniel and came away with something for myself. Viewing the pictures of the instruments on your website was like going through a photo gallery of old friends. Thanks for bringing them and giving your class the opportunity of exploring. After going to your class at camp I went to sleep with my fingers drumming away, and I find I'm still tapping along to my music at home. Is this addictive? :)

Hi Cathy, what you brought to the Sierra Fiddle Camp Fiddler's Rally concert was fabulous. You, your rhythms and your instruments create a big sound and a big presence that so perfectly compliments the roar of the campers—I was delighted. Loved having you and your Cape Breton companions at camp this year! Jan

I had the opportunity to get to learn from Cathy at the 2013 Sierra Fiddle Camp. She was an excellent instructor of rhythm and percussion. I had atteneded the camp to work on my fiddle, but had a great time expanding my rhythm with Cathy during the week. If you get a chance to work with her, leap at it.

Cathy - What a delight to watch you, almost every day for a solid week, as a performer. You brought tremendous good energy to each performance. Your instruction in the workshops provided me good insight and a great opportunity to improve my percussion skills. Thank you. Jim

Hi Cathy. I was working on Rose Vaughan's website and Facebook page, and found your site. I'm so happy to see how your career has evolved. Those famous folks you play with are lucky to have you with them, and they know it. Big hugs!

I am having a difficult time trying to find a Canada with loose chains similar to what yours looks like. The LP has tight chains. Any suggestions where to get a loose chain Cabasa?

Now THIS website looks great! Love that it is current, includes past work, and lets people know what is coming up for you! Great!
Brilliant to showcase all the different instruments you play, as well as some of the many artists you've collaborated with throughout your career. You are an inspiration!
There's an expression "Most people will die with their music still locked deep inside themselves". THANK YOU for using your patience, joy, and humour to 'quietly' inspire people to unlock their music within. You make the world a better place!

That was an amazing gig yesterday in Dornbirn, Austria. I enjoyed it very much and admired the art of your percussion!
